When I saw this adorable equestrian children’s book, A Pony Met the World Today by Vivian Laughman, I had to show to it my nieces and nephews! Today was with my nephew, Landon- fun fact: I have 15 nieces and nephews so stay tuned for more fun equestrian reads!!

This book is beautifully illustrated and touches on the monumental moments of a pony’s first day on earth! Author Vivian Laughman lives right outside of Gettysburg, PA with my husband and three year old daughter, named Lillian. She owns and operates a breeding and retirement farm currently with 8 retired horses, 2 active broodmares, 2 young ponies, and her daughter’s mini, named Pancake Muffin! Laughman was inspired to write A Pony Met the World Today after she had her daughter. She always enjoyed creative writing, and has written several short stories and articles for Young Rider Magazine. They always say write what you know – so she wrote about a pony being born on the farm!
